Wine is loved on every part of the globe. It’s a magnet for good times and cherished memories. People love wine. But people hate buying it. That was the heart of the matter for the Willamette Valley Wineries Association.

The Willamette Valley growing region had an virtually untold history. Oenophiles knew all about it, but the rest of the world was just starting to catch on. So we made a video that told about the area’s origin, and its future (we did the music too).












We developed a more approachable, more human name for the organization. For the logo mark,  we wanted to hint at wine and winemaking, without using clichéd grape and glassware imagery. We created a modern interpretation of a wineglass stain, then built a simple W/V mark.

We tied it all together with two custom illustration libraries. A more organic style highlighting wine country flora (excepting vines and grapes), and one that lent itself to use as icons and wayfinding.
















We recommend visiting in fall, following harvest. If you’re anything like the people who started it all, you might never leave.
